And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and the sojourner: I am the Lord your God.

What a Difference !!

What an incredible difference a month makes!

We've had plenty of rain and the rows are growing together!

We're very blessed to have such an incredible resource to share with the community!

Suzanne said," The garden is beautiful and the harvest plentiful! We are picking squash and green beans nearly everyday. We have been blessed to be able to deliver fresh veggies to the people in our church as well as those in our area with needs. Today we delivered to the Free Will Mission in Humboldt, and we still have plenty. God still works wonders! AMEN! "

We still have a lot of work to do.  The garden needs picking almost daily now and we need volunteers to take the harvest to those who can't get here.  If you can help with the Garden tent during VBS on Sunday afternoon, or in any other way, please let Suzanne know.

A Time to Sow...

On Saturday May 7th, we gathered and planted.  Tomatos, squash, cucumbers, peppers, green beans, peas, cantaloupe
 and a lot of corn.
What a great crew!

"What should we plant next?"

"Let me help you with that"

 The next generation of gardeners.

"I'll get the squash if you'll get the cucumbers."

What a great day!

Now the hard work starts...

Tilling of the Greens

On Saturday, April 9, several dedicated supporters of the Garden gathered to prepare the area for planting.  John Wehner and Robert Burns brought tractors and after several hours, the garden began to take shape.

John Wehner gets it started.
After a couple of passes, things are looking good.
Matt, Kenny, John and Suzanne take a short break.

As you can see this is going to be a HUGE project and so far we have several volunteers but we still need a lot of help.  We need leaders, advisers, planters, tenders and harvesters.  If you'd like to get involved let us know.

Contact Suzanne Wehner at: Wehner@click1.net or just post a comment and we'll get in touch.

Welcome!

What a great idea...We'll plant a garden, trust that God will help it grow, and share it with the Community!

On February 13, we chose a spot:

The area between the youth annex, Station 3:16 and the main building looks like a great site.  It's level, accessable to water and has great parking access.

What a great start!
